The journey of LaPaz Batchoy Restaurant began in 2004 with the vision of two remarkable individuals. Mr. Safar Qahtani, a visionary entrepreneur from Saudi Arabia, partnered with Mr. Nero Brusas, from Iloilo Province in the Philippines. Their shared passion for authentic cuisine and cultural connection led them to establish the first LaPaz Batchoy branch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
With Mr. Brusas bringing the iconic flavors of Iloilo’s famous “Batchoy” and Mr. Qahtani providing strong business expertise, the restaurant quickly became a beloved destination for Filipino expatriates and locals alike. The heartwarming flavors and dedication to quality helped LaPaz Batchoy flourish.
Today, LaPaz Batchoy stands as the first-choice Filipino restaurant in the region, with 14 branches across seven cities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The menu features beloved Filipino dishes like adobo, sinigang, pancit, and of course, the iconic Batchoy, all prepared with traditional recipes and the finest ingredients.
